AGROVAS was founded on September 23, 2011, operating in the proves of Calca and Urubamba in the Sacred Valley of The Incas, a territory steeped in cultural wealth, agricultural tradition, and biodiversity.
We are a cooperativa that brings together more than 600 small farmers of Cusco Giant White Corn, a variety with a designation of origin that grows between 2,750 and 2,950 meters above sea level, in unique conditions that give it exceptional flavor, size and quality.
Our mission is to coordinate efforts to strengthen the production, processing and marketing of corn and other high Anden products, generating value and opportunities for the peasant families that are part of our organization.

GRAIN FROM THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
Perú is recognized as one of the most important genetic centers in te world, with more than 4,400 native plants and an agricultural wealth that has transcended centuries. Within this diversity, corn occupies a special place: an ancient, nutritious grain linked to our culture.
In the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco, Giant White Corn of Cusco also known as Blanco Urubamba, is grown. This variety, considered the most emblematic of the valley, stands out for the unmistakable white color.
Produced between 2,750 and 2,950 meters above sea leve, this corn is the result of a privileged environment: fertile alnds, ancestral terraces, and the legacy of agricultural techniques passed down from generation to generation. More than 80% of its producers are small farmers, who with effort and tradition keep this agricultural heritage alive.

Each seed comes directly from the Sacred Valley, cultivated by small farmers who keep this ancient heritage alive. Thanks to them, the AGROVAS cooperative is authorized to offer certifies native seed, guaranteeing not only quality but also the preservation of a cultura and genetic legacy.

At AGROVAS, we take another step in the value chain with our corn peeling plant. Here, the grain is transformed into peeled corn in different sizes, ideal for gastronomy and the food industry. The floyry texture and pure white color make it the ideal ingredient for Peruvian and world cuisine.
